Molybdenum is an element-- number #42 to be precise. This element is not found naturally all by itself, but as an oxide. Remember that from the sulfur discussion? An oxide is when an element combines with oxygen.
Molybdenum is used primarily in making steel, laboratory products, and other useful things, so it does have a nice purpose besides frustrating you and building sulfite oxidase.
Molybdenum enters the body from the diet through the gastrointestinal tract, though it can be inhaled should you walk through a cloud of molybdenum dust. I'm still waiting on that one.
And if you don't have enough Molybdenum in your life, you can wear it on your head.
